09/20/2004: "Disappearing Middle Class?"

Decent article here from the Washington Post.

$17 an hour=35k a year. A decent enough living if it comes with health care and you don't live in an impossible real estate area.

But...these jobs are goin'. And not just the industrial jobs, but all the other basic service industries that are now "outsourced" across US borders.
