Crazy article about my city in today's Times. Apparently, someone decided that everyone in Philly ought to have access to a t-1 line via wireless.
What I don't understand is how this will work; if the city is not going to become a provider, than who is? Are we going to be stuck with the same patronage drive cable system that has so throughly enriched Direct TV? (Fast fact: the West Philly Radio Shack sells more satellite dishes than any other RS in the country, mostly because of the flagrant ineptitutde of "Urban Cableworks.")
Also annoying in that the budget for the park system for an entire year is about what they're proposing to spend.
