Now she's back and they've changed the policy.
Makes sense for school administrators to have some leeway in dealing with these situations, although I have a hard time believing that every child has been subjected to this law. In other words, has every child who has brought scissors to school been taken away?
I tend to doubt it.
But...when you have such stringent laws on the books, this sort of thing is going to happen, and you can't really blame the lead administrator. It's what happens when the folks making laws live in a world far, far away from the reality of daily life in public schools.
