05/17/2005: "Political Day"

We live in a political world, although you'd hardly know it. There were more people in line when I voted in November than had bothered to vote in the Philly election today, at least by noon. I went mostly to vote for the environmental bond issue and to vote for a friend of my neighbor's who is running for Court of Common Pleas.

Then I called Senator Santorum's office just to let them know that ending the fillibuster is a bad idea. I think the Senator is in trouble...the tactics of his neo-con friends aren't going to fly in Pennsylvania, particularly with Bob Casey running.
