day of deliberative forums"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We spent today deconstructing the format of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nifi.org\">National Issues Forum&#8217;s<\/a> booklet on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nifi.org\/es\/issue-guide\/issue-advisory-what-should-we-do-about-opioid-epidemic\">Opioid Epidemic<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0This brilliant six-page document is replacing a research brief as the precursor to filmmaking.\u00a0 \u00a0We&#8217;ll be writing these and then leading forums with our ninth graders.<\/p>\n<p>We read it together and then we did three things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What are the different parts of this document?<\/li>\n<li>What is the purpose of each section?<\/li>\n<li>How will the section help us make a short film?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a
